A little help
goes a long way.
Questions, feedback, or something not quite right?
Let’s get your family back in rhythm.
A good place to start.
How do I add my family?
Create a household, then open Family Sync using the cloud icon on the Home screen. Share the invite code with family members. On their iPhones, they choose Join a Family and enter the code. Use the same name as an existing unclaimed profile to rejoin that profile. Only share the code with people you trust.
Why isn’t a change showing on another phone?
Check that all devices have the latest version of the app, an internet connection, and the same household invite code. Open the app on both phones and allow a little time for automatic syncing. You can also open the cloud icon and choose Sync Now. Avoid resetting your family as a first troubleshooting step.
Why can’t I approve a photo-required chore?
A proof photo must be available on the reviewing device before approval. If you see “Waiting for the photo,” check the connection, update both phones, and sync again. A parent can still request a redo. For chores that don’t need proof, turn off the photo requirement in that chore’s editor.
Where are my notification settings?
Open the Home screen’s more-options menu, then Settings → Notifications. Check the preferences for the active profile. If iOS has blocked notifications, enable them for Family Chore Wallet in your iPhone’s Settings.
How does an Apple Cash payout work?
Add an optional phone number to the child’s profile. Open the payout screen to hand off to Messages with the recipient and payment details. Send the money yourself using Apple Cash, then return to Family Chore Wallet and confirm payment. You can also pay another way. The app does not transfer money; Apple Cash eligibility and availability apply.
How do I restore an unlock?
Use Restore Purchases on the unlock screen while signed into the Apple Account that made the purchase. One parent’s unlock covers the household. If access still looks wrong, keep your invite code and contact the developer before deleting or resetting anything. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete family data?
As a parent, open Manage Family and choose Reset Family Data in the Danger Zone. This removes the household and its related cloud data and clears this device’s local family data. An optional email can confirm the reset. Removing an individual member deletes that member’s related data. Resetting is destructive; contact support first if you’re only trying to fix syncing.
