Family Chore Wallet helps families track chores and rewards.
Here’s what it handles, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated: October 2026

We do not sell your information. The app and this website contain no advertising or analytics, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

1. No accounts or passwords

The app has no sign-in. A household is identified by a private invite code that a parent shares with family members. Anyone with that code can join the household, so share it only with people you trust. The optional parental PIN protects parent access on the device where it is set; it is not a cloud sign-in or a replacement for keeping the invite code private.

2. Information the app handles

Family data is stored locally on your iPhone. When Family Sync is used, our managed cloud service, powered by Supabase, also stores information to keep household devices connected:

  • Household and member profiles: household and display names, parent or child roles, theme colors, savings-goal settings if used, and an optional phone number entered for a payout handoff.
  • Chores and activity: chore details, schedules, checklists, submissions, approvals or redo requests, and in-app rewards, adjustments, savings entries, and payment history. These amounts are family records, not real funds held by the app.
  • Family chat: messages and read status within the household.
  • Identifiers and notifications: household and member IDs, and an Apple push notification token and preferences for sending alerts to a registered device.
  • Purchase and trial status: whether the household’s trial or one-time unlock is active. Apple handles the transaction; we do not receive your card or bank details.

This information is used to operate the app, not for advertising, marketing profiles, or tracking.

3. Photos and their visibility

  • Profile pictures are uploaded and shown to the household. They are hosted at public image URLs, so anyone who obtains the image URL may be able to view the picture. They are removed when a member is removed or the household is reset.
  • Chore proof photos are stored in a private cloud bucket for syncing. A parent can view household proof photos; a child can view their own. Cloud downloads use short-lived signed links. Approved proof photos are eligible for automatic deletion after 30 days; cleanup runs when the service processes uploads or maintenance. A photo is also cleared when a chore is resubmitted.
  • Hero-card background photos remain on the device and are not uploaded.

Please choose photos suitable for the people who can see them, and avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.

4. Optional reset-confirmation email

A parent may enter an email address when resetting the family to receive request and completion confirmations. It is used only for those messages, not for marketing. The address is stored briefly with the reset request, household name, and request time, then cleared when the reset finishes or after 7 days if it does not. Messages are delivered by Resend. Leaving the field empty does not prevent a reset.

5. What stays on the device

Your parental PIN is stored as a one-way hash in the iOS Keychain and is never uploaded. Hero background photos and some local preferences stay on the device. Purchase caches and trial bookkeeping are kept in the Keychain and can survive deleting the app or resetting family data. Other local data supports normal app operation, widgets, and reminders.

6. Allowance and real-world payments

Family Chore Wallet records rewards; it does not hold money, connect to bank accounts, or automatically send payments. You arrange real-world payments outside the app. If you choose the Messages handoff, the recipient and payout text are passed to Messages. Apple Cash is operated by Apple and its partners, subject to their own eligibility, regional availability, and privacy terms. App purchases are processed by Apple.

7. Permissions and choices

  • Camera: to take chore proof photos.
  • Photo library: to select profile, proof, and hero background photos.
  • Notifications: for chore, approval, chat, payout, and recap alerts.

You can manage permission access in iOS Settings. Notification categories can also be adjusted in the app. Parents choose whether each chore requires a proof photo.

8. Children and family use

The app is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect children’s information outside the household features a parent enables. We do not show ads to children or share their information for third-party marketing. Parents should supervise the information and photos their family shares. Contact us if you believe information was provided without appropriate parental involvement.

9. Service providers and security

Information is processed by our managed Supabase cloud infrastructure, Apple for purchases and push notifications, and Resend for optional reset emails, solely to provide these features. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No storage or transmission system is perfectly secure. Keep your invite code and device PIN private.

Our support link opens Discord; it is not embedded in the app’s website. If you use that service, your interaction is subject to Discord’s privacy practices. Please do not share private household details in public channels.

10. Retention and deletion

Family data is kept while needed to operate the household. A parent can use Manage Family → Reset Family Data to remove the cloud household and related records, photos, and device tokens, and clear that device’s local family data. Removing a member deletes that member’s related cloud records and profile photo. Connected devices learn of removals or resets on their next successful sync. Offline devices may retain local copies until they reconnect.

Approved cloud proof photos are cleaned up as described above. Inactive, locked trial households with no real activity for 30 days may be removed. Limited operational backups may retain records temporarily under our maintenance practices. Deleting the app alone is not a request to delete the cloud household. You can contact the developer for help with a deletion request.

11. This marketing website

This site does not collect form submissions, embed third-party content, or use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. The hosting provider may process routine request information, such as IP address and browser information, for delivery and security. Links to the App Store, Discord, and Superapp take you to other sites governed by their own policies.

12. Changes and contact

We will update this page and its date when our practices change. For questions or deletion requests, contact the developer through our Discord support community. Ask for a private way to provide household details rather than posting them publicly.
